Some of life's best moments happen around the Kitchen Table. After dinner is put away, my kitchen table becomes my work space to record life's memories.

I will wait. I will wait. I will wait.

I was again inspired by the ladies over at Scrap it with a Song.   This time their challege was "I Will Wait"  by Mumford & Son.   Crop Chocolate's weekly challenge this week is to use Green, Blue, and White color combo.   I went looking for a good sketch and landed again at My Scraps & More.   I put all them together, mixed it up, and came up with this layout.

Oh, Come on!

Scrap it with a Song  is a blog I have been lurking for about a month or so and I finally had a chance to participate in one of the challenges.   This week's song is "Some Nights" by Fun.  My kids and I like to sing along with this song when it plays on the radio.  It is one of those guilty pleasures to belt it out at the top of your lungs.   This picture of Hannah goes perfectly with the line from the song, "Oh, COME ON!"   I can just hear her saying it when I see the photo.

Baby, It's Cold Outside

Crop Chocolate's weekly challenge was to make a project using mittens.   I found this die cut in my stash and decided to play with my Stickles!

SMILE!

I recently uploaded a bunch of photos from my husband's cell phone to Walgreens and got some prints.  Cell phone pics tend to capture a lot of great every day moments.

This page was inspired by a member challenge at ACOT.  Their design team was dissolved last year, but the message board members continue to post challenges to inspire each other. Brandy wanted to see a page with only white, black or gold.  She posted a challenge with the following rules;

1. Your background MUST be solid white.
2. You must use ribbon or some form of fabric (a crocheted embellie, lace, etc.)

I found a great sketch at My Scraps & More and here is my answer;

I was introduced to a new scrap blog this week My Scraps & More
looks like a good resource to keep the creative juices flowing.  I also used this page for a "use your stash" challenge at A Cherry on Top.  This challenge was specific..
1. Use 6 patterned papers
2. Use 2 solid papers
3. Use at least 4 embellishments of your choice
Thank goodness for paper packs.  Gotta love Basic Grey!

On the 12th day of Christmas....

Joy to the World!  The Lord has come!  I celebrated Epiphany this afternoon by doing a page featuring our Christmas Card.  The idea came from another challenge at two peas.

It has distressing, so it also is my entry to CropChocolate's weekly challenge this week. 2 down, 50 to go...

The girls saw how much fun I was having and they wanted in on the action.  They looked through the stash and both settled on Basic Grey's Lime Rickey Paper pack -

Oh Brads!

I re-discovered Two Peas in A Bucket this week.  Their design team has a video series.  It is really cool to see the creative process.

I came across a "Use your Stash" challenge.  The challenge is to use up brads.  Brads are something that don't get the respect they deserve in my house, so this was a good challenge for me.   I went walking through my stash and found a whole box of Webster's Pages goodies.  It was from one of their warehouse sale grab bags that I just had to have.  These are beautiful papers and embelishments, but I remember not being inspired much by the goodies when I recieved it.  I challenged myself to use only items from that box.   I ended up outsourcing the brads from other brands ...  and the Thickers...  I found a Becky Fleck Sketch and went to work -

48 brads and a couple sore fingertips later ----

Check it out!  My page of  Bailey's "Home for Christmas"  is featured on The Crop at CropChocolate.com today.  Creative inspiration is everywhere, especially when you look to your friends.   A really great community of crafters has formed there.   I am happy to be welcomed back after taking a break.

If you're not familiar with CropChocolate.com, it's like a Deal a Day site for Papercrafting, but better.  You're able to save your goodies and build a carte to save on shipping.   Check it out!

Back into it...

To get over the "hump" of  not getting any crafting done, I did this page the other day to close out 2012.   Our last doggie, Ranger got sick and died the same week we brought Nathan home from the hospital 5 years ago.  We promised 4 year old Meghan at the time when Nathan started Kindergarten we would get another doggie.  She didn't let us forget and started counting down the days.   Bailey joined our family in August this year, just weeks after Nathan started Kindergarten.  She is kind, gentle, and patient.    We are happy to have her and she is happy to have a home.   My mom gave her this Santa doll for Christmas.  I think her expression sums it all up.

Hannah helped me place the letters and flowers.   I think she caught the crafting bug, too.  We plan to do some more pages this weekend.  She went through some photos I recently printed has already started planning her page.
